Terms of Service
Last updated: April 29, 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using the CanLaunch platform (the "Service") you agree to these Terms. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
2. Nature of the Service
CanLaunch is a software tool that organises information to support applications for a Transport Canada Authorization to Launch and related launch-day operations. CanLaunch is a guidance tool — it is not legal advice, not an engineering authority, and not a substitute for professional review by qualified counsel, range safety officers, or regulatory advisors. All regulatory decisions and submissions remain your responsibility.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of forming a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction.
4. Account and security
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in email secure, for all activity under your account, and for promptly notifying us of any unauthorised use at security@canlaunch.space.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to (a) reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code, (b) interfere with the operation of the Service, (c) use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation, including Canadian export controls and the Canadian Space Agency Act, or (d) submit content that infringes the rights of third parties.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of every field, document, and export you create on CanLaunch. You grant CanLaunch a limited licence to host, store, and process that content solely to operate the Service for you and to produce your exports.
7. Audit trail and exports
CanLaunch maintains an immutable audit trail of PDF exports including a SHA-256 hash of each export. You may rely on these records for your own submission audit purposes. We do not modify or delete export records on your behalf except via the deletion path described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Pricing and fees
CanLaunch is in early access. Pricing is provided on request — contact hello@canlaunch.space. We will give written notice before introducing or changing fees that apply to your account.
9. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is". We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, that calculations will be free of error, or that the Service will satisfy any specific Transport Canada requirement. Operators remain responsible for verifying every value before submission.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CanLaunch and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any launch outcome, regulatory finding, or third-party claim arising from your use of the Service.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms with reasonable notice (or immediately for security reasons).
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes are posted here and announced to registered users by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
